Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This app (“Tam Vakit”, “the app”) is published by Omeci Labs (the “we”/“us”), the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Our privacy promise in one paragraph

Tam Vakit is built to work without an account, without a cloud, and without advertising or tracking. We operate no servers of our own and therefore cannot collect, store, or see your personal data. Your location and settings stay on your device. The few cases in which data leaves your device are listed explicitly below — and each one is either optional or triggered by you.

3. What the app processes, and where the data goes

3.1 Location (GPS)

To show correct prayer times and the Qibla direction, the app needs your geographic coordinates. They are obtained on your device only after you grant location permission, used for local calculation of prayer times and the Qibla bearing, stored only on your device, and never transmitted to us (we have no server to receive them). Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke it any time in your system settings; the app then falls back to manual location entry.

3.2 Place-name lookup (reverse geocoding)

To display a readable place name instead of raw coordinates, the app may pass your coordinates to your device’s built-in geocoding service — Google Play Services on Android, Apple on iOS — governed by their privacy policy, not ours. This is not essential: if it fails or is offline, the app keeps working.

3.3 Notifications (Adhan / prayer reminders)

Prayer-time notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. There is no push server — nothing about your prayer schedule leaves the device.

3.4 Optional official prayer-time source

The app can optionally obtain prayer times from an official provider (e.g. the Turkish Diyanet). This source is switched off in the published app. If a future build or setting enables it, the location or city you select is sent to that provider only to retrieve the times, under that provider’s own privacy policy. We will update this policy before activating any such source.

3.5 Contacting support

If you use “Report a problem”, it opens a pre-filled email to support@omecilabs.com in your mail app. Before you send, the app shows you the plain-text diagnostic block it adds — app version, device model, OS version, language, notification/battery permission states, and your chosen calculation method. It contains no location and no device identifiers. The email is sent only if you send it.

3.6 Purchases (Premium & voluntary support)

Optional in-app purchases are processed entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment data — only the store’s confirmation that a purchase is valid.

5. Storage and retention

All app data is stored only on your device. We keep no copies because we have no servers. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.

6. Recipients / third parties

We share personal data with no one. Data leaves your device only to the OS geocoding provider (Google / Apple, §3.2), the app store for purchases (§3.6), and an optional official prayer-time provider if you enable it (§3.4) — each under its own privacy policy.

7. International transfers

Because we run no servers, we perform no international data transfers ourselves. Any transfer arises only from the third-party platform services above, under their safeguards.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Since we hold no personal data about you on any server, most are exercised directly on your device (revoke location permission, clear app data, or uninstall). Contact us at support@omecilabs.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

9. Children

The app is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. It requires no account and no personal details to function.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version and effective date are shown at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
